  Last night, there was a post from a person looking for a 24 hour emergency veterinary clinic. I thought it would be a good idea to post the closest animal hospitals that have emergency rooms or urgent cares. Please check with your own veterinarian about after hour calls. Some veterinarians like Hollow Corners and Koprowski vet have liberal office hours. Lapeer County does not have a 24 hour animal hospital, but here are the ones closest to us. Keep for future reference. Wilson Vet Hospital, Romeo MI 586-752-6217 24 hours Animal Emergency Hospital of Genesee: 1148 E. Bristol Rd, Burton 810-238-7557. Open 5pm-8am M-F, 24 hours on weekends. Animal Emergency Center in Rochester 248-651-1788 Oakland Veterinary Referral Service 248-334-6877 Michigan Veterinary Specialists of Auburn Hills 248-371-3713 If anyone knows of any others that we can post please let us know. It is always best to be prepared in the case of an emergency with your pets. Office hours for local vets would be appreciated.

  Emergency Veterinary Hospital (EVH) in Ann Arbor is amazing! I took my dog to that "place" in Burton a few weeks ago and ended up leaving and driving to Ann Arbor at 3 am. From the second we walked through the door you would have thought they were treating their own pet. Detroit Bully Corps takes rescue emergencies there, and I had been there a couple times before with the rescue's founder Missi, but this was the first time taking my own dog. It was well worth the drive from Lapeer. (734) 369-6446 5245 Jackson rd, Ann Arbor.

  Anyone know of a vet in the metro Detroit area that will take payments? One of the kittens has a bad eye infection. I've been doing warm compresses every 2-3 hours and I called around all day today and couldn't find one that would take payments. The actual eye is looking pretty bad and it's breaking my heart and I don't have much money right now. Applied for care credit already.
