  I would recommend a tourist room in Jasper, Basically you rent a room in someones house. They have their own entrances and some of the bigger ones have a kitchen unit. It is much cheaper than a hotel, and if you are in Jasper, then you will be out all day anyway. All you need is a nice bed for the night. You will also get to meet the people who run it and they can give you great ideas of what to do and what to see. https://www.stayinjasper.com/

  https://www.stayinjasper.com/ We used this site to book a B&B in Jasper back in July. Pretty straight forward and right in the townsite. We walked to the pubs the couple nights we were there from where we stayed.

  For those of you familiar with Jasper, would anyone have suggestions for accommodations for a June 30 arrival and July 2 departure? I am slated to attend a friend's wedding on July 1 but am striking out on hotels already. Is there one I may have overlooked? A secret gem of a b&b?

  Check out stayinjasper.com. There are lots of approved accommodations listed. It is Jasper's version of a B&B. Columbine House and The Bears Den are 2 of our favourites.

  I live in Jasper. With free entry to the park this year, the media wasn't joking when they said book early. I don't know of anywhere available. Try www.stayinjasper.com You could try camping but it may already be booked solid as well. There are little cabins at whistler campground. Goodluck.

  The private home accommodations can be a good deal, and nicer than similarly priced hotels. I'm not sure what your definition of "nice" is, but some of these are fancier, and others more basic. Some are B&Bs, but I think most do not offer breakfast due to some bylaw. Some have private bathrooms, others it's shared, or private but not ensuite.   Stayinjasper.com is a great site. Stays in private homes....like a B&B but most have private entrances and breakfast is provided in your suite...you make it yourself. We like Columbine House. Good luck.
