  Anyone kind souls know of a good solicitor who can help clients to lift up a restrictive covenant on an ex - council property in Birmingham? The restrictive covenant on the property is "private single dwelling". The solicitor who we spoke said he would need 4 hours to go through paper work for us and his rate is £250 per hour + VAT providing the council's solicitor draft the legal document. And the rate will be much higher if our solicitor has to draft the legal document. I was wondering what is the reasonable rate to pay?
