  Hi, all: I'm looking for recommendations for a mold inspection expert. I was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune illness and my physician recommended that I have my 1937 home assessed for the presence of mold. I'd strongly prefer to use someone who does not offer remediation services. Alternatively, if anyone has personal experience with a mold inspection/remediation person or company that is both competent and honest (ie, will not recommend services I don't actually need), I'd be very grateful. I am not looking for a handyman or other contractor who doesn't specialize in this area. Thanks so much!

  I used a gentlemen named Jon Salstrom who owns Accurate Assessment Services when I flipped a house in East Bend. He was extremely honest, offering me advice for remediation that I could do myself. Even sharing where I could buy the chemicals cheaper than at Lowe's. Saved me a bundle. Give him a call at 336-406-7125. He has all 5 star ratings on Thumbtack. Worth noting though that this was several years ago now. He might be retired, but he can recommend someone if he is no longer doing it.
