Hi Saucers, are there any groups/after school classes or get togethers for english or english speaking kids? Age group 10 to 14. My 12 year old daughter has just moved to Praha for good and is feeling a bit lonely. She has only been here for a couple of weeks and speaks no Czech at all so to help her out it would be great for her to be able to have regular fun times with other kids her age group who can speak her mother tongue. Please please help me out. Many thanks in advance

Looking to improve my Dutch! Does anyone know of a language school that offers Dutch lessons ? I have yet to find one. Or maybe there is a Dutch person in Prague that does private lessons?

I run a small school in Prague 10 - Vinohrady and we do have a teacher. She's gone to Holland for the autumn break but will be back soon, so if you are still looking, send me a pm or contact me via info@thevilla.cz
need a certified translator from spanish to czech or english to czech to go with my sister for a nostrification exam. all the ones I have found are to expensive. any suggestions?
McCaffrey D. replied:
If you don't find anyone by tomorrow send me an email to info@thevilla.cz and I will have a look for one. But interpreters cost around 5000-8000 Kč per day and they usually work a minimum "half day" regardless of how much work you need them to interpret. Basically count on paying like 2500-4000 Kč for a half day of the interpreters time. Also the price may depend on if you need a soudní tlumočník or not (certified interpreter)....

Hello, long-term expat here who (shamefully) needs to improve his Czech. Any suggestions for reliably good Czech language schools/teachers? I would like to start in January.
McCaffrey D. replied:
If you like I can send you an offer of our school, we have served some other crowdsaucers well, so you may ask references here too. I will need you email to send the offer to, so just drop me a line at info@thevilla.cz and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I have a Czech friend looking for some English lessons for herself and her son (Age 13).
She has a basic conversational level of English and her son has been learning at school for 3 years.
Somewhere near Jesenice would be ideal - can anyone make any recommendations I can pass on.
McCaffrey D. replied:
I run a small language school, we cater for all ages and all levels, if they want lessons in Jesenice it may add to the price though, if you like you can pass her my contact info@thevilla.cz and I will see what we can offer... best regards
