  I'm not from Vancouver. What bus to take from the venue to downtown and back? Also does anyone know of some good places to eat near the venue? Are there any cute cafes to check out in downtown or around the venue?

  Around thunderbird arena? UBC is pretty safe, we also have services like safe walk (http://www.ams.ubc.ca/services/safewalk/) that services students and non-students. The arena is right by the bus stop for the 41/49/25/33! Anyone can message me for more UBC questions.
