We are a multi-breed rescue in the SF Bay Area of CA and can be reached at beourpet@gmail.com
Grundle has now been with Umbrella of Hope for 11 months. He is the longest resident that we've EVER had. We know there is a home out there for him and we are asking you to help us help him find it.
He's a purebred maltese and is around 10 yrs old and about 10 lbs. He is full of personality, but is spicy so we do not recommend him for homes with children too young to respect personal space (but all children are different so we ask you to use your best judgment rather than us placing a strict guideline... we will say kids over age 8 would be ideal). A quiet home would be ideal as he gets stressed out and paces when there is too much activity. He would be awesome with seniors who may have occasional visitors. He would be AWFUL in a home where mom teaches piano lessons to an every changing group of pre teens...
He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, has had bloodwork and a dental cleaning with extractions (now his mouth is healthy).
He does take medication twice daily which he LIKES and ASKS FOR (it is a treat) thyroid pills and eyedrops. If you are concerned about the cost of these medications (one is cheap, one is moderate) we are happy to provide them to you through our veterinarian for LIFE. If his perfect home is within driving distance of our veterinarian in the CA East Bay (94565) we are happy to provide him with routine veterinary care there at no cost to the adopter for the rest of his life.
A generous donor has offered to pay for us to get him to anywhere in the United States or Canada to an approved home.
Can you please help us help him find his person? He would like to go Home for the Holidays!!
