Amy K. asked:We are in the process of a deck repair. We recently installed new EPDM over existing, and are having issues with pooling water and drainage. The deck is above our garage, and the prior drainage was routed thru a hole in the center of the deck that ran thru the ceiling of the garage and out the side wall, not ideal or appealing. This method did not alleviate the pooling water issue either, and I would prefer to do away with any water traveling thru the garage. We also need a drainage solution as currently the water is a waterfall on all sides of the deck. I am interested in any referrals for a "skilled professional" specializing in decks, that can come up with a workable solution and has experience with this type of project. No amateurs please. John K. asked:I have a concrete deck that is partially poured over wood framing. The barrier has leaked and the subfloor has rotted out beneath. I'm assuming at least part of the deck needs to be removed to repair the framing. I don't know if the deck can be salvaged or not, but this one is beyond my capability.
