  Hi Cristina, I am a full-time dog walker and trainer in the area offering pick-up, drop-off, group walks and solo walks. I am also the only force-free dog walker in the area, and the only dog-walker affiliated with the Pet Professional Guild. This means that I use my experience as a reward-based trainer, rather than pain and intimidation, to safely and effectively handle dogs of all sizes. I also have pet first aid. As of recently, I am training my partner Sue Meyers to handle small dogs in Albion. I am also the only walker in the area certified thought the Pet Professional Guild as a force-free professional, meaning that I never use choke chains, prong collars or shock collars on my clients for either training or walking purposes.   Hi Rondene! I do both walking and training. All dogs in my care are trained to come when called (never know when you might need it, whether you plan to take them off-leash or not!), and walk loose-leash. On top of that, I could probably brief you on what your dog is learning during walks, and show you some good practice drills in a lesson or two. www.dognannyacademy.com

  Hi Alishea, I'm the Dog Nanny and I adore working with giant breeds! I also walk and sit in the area, and have a few play groups with large, rambunctious dogs. I was a student of Lisa at Pawsitively Canine and am one of the few trainers in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows who trains using force-free tactics, in compliance with the stances of the ASPCA, the AVMA, and the APDT. This means that I practice methods based largely on the science of animal behaviorism (the sort of methods used at shelters and zoos) rather than pop science, reality TV and tradition.
