  I am looking for some advice around a family lawyer that accepts legal aid. I am not sure of the process of this, but am needing some direction. I am wanting to get some legal advice around custody of my child, and then see I can possibly make it a formal arrangement. We already have an arrangement that we follow, but things are starting to go downhill so I am wanting to get something in writing before it hits the fan!! Any recommendations on family lawyers please, as well as how I go with the process? Thank you! Anon

  The napier family centre has a free community legal advice service run out of their building every Friday if I remember correctly and probably can point you in the right direction, their number is (06) 878 4868. I know anyone who works at Carlile Dowling no longer do legal aid and as far as I'm concerned Phillip Ross is not someone I would recommend. The first step these days is to apply for mediation.
