  Second hand bikes? I'm looking to buy a lower cost bike as I'll only be cycling a couple of miles to and from work each day entirely in cycle lanes so am not looking to spend a lot. Would rather pick up something cheaper and put the extra cash towards a good helmet. Does anybody know which bike shops offer the best prices around town? Really don't trust Gumtree and ad sites because of bike theft. Any help appreciated!

  If you can travel out to Sawston/Pampisford there is Owl Bikes: http://www.papworthtrust.org.uk/locations/owl-bikes-shop They are a charity that provide various disadvantaged folk with opportunities to learn/work. They renovate bikes and they sell them on to help support the ongoing work.
