Louie’s Backyard features delicious, homemade food like steaks, fresh shrimp, fish, seafood, pasta, desserts, and our famous seafood buffet. Enjoy bayside dining and cocktails while watching one of South Padre Island’s beautiful sunsets on our waterfront dining area and bars. We also offer private party reservations for birthday parties, wedding receptions, holiday gatherings, reunions or any event you want to celebrate.

Louie’s Backyard has been South Padre Island’s go-to restaurant, bar and nightlife spot since opening in 1975. From spring break to winter vacationers, Louie’s Backyard has something for everyone to enjoy. Every Friday Night during the summer, locals can enjoy our fireworks show over Laguna Madre. Come early to get the best seat on South Padre Island!

Our Local’s Sports Bar boasts 60 HDTVs, 12 Big Screen DLPs, all DirecTV Sports Packages & NCAA Tournament basketball games, pool tables, darts, and shuffleboard. Guests can enjoy our Local’s Specials in the sports bar everyday with specials like Fajitas & Ritas, sandwiches, our famous BBQ ribs, shrimp baskets, and seafood platters. Join us for our daily Happy Hour featuring $2 draft pints, $2.50 well drinks, house margaritas, pina coladas and Rum Runners and $3.25 house wine by the glass.
