So we were shocked when ours started chipping off in several spots in less than a year. Most of the spots were in the third space which we don't park cars. Some were on cracks and some were not. My husband asked them if they were going to fill the cracks before they put the coating down and they said it wasn't necessary. They were going to acid wash the floor and that would be good. We have had the owner out and he will not stand behind his work! We had another company come out and found out it was done wrong. They should have checked the moisture level of the concrete and they would have found out it was 'wet' and needed a moisture barrier, the cracks absolutely must be filled (they allow moisture through) and they don't acid wash the floor because most people don't neutralize the acid correctly. We spent $5,000 for the painting and another $1,500 for the garage floor. Not only that they gave my husband a sob story about being ripped off by an employee and they needed the money up front to make payroll, so we paid up front - which any contractor will tell you is illegal! They can only take a deposit! Absolutely don't use Patriot Painting because when they mess up they won't stand behind their work!
