About us
Here at Purple Dog Designs, we specialize in hand painted wood signs and other wood home decor. We can make a variety of items in addition to wood signs, such as barn doors, blanket ladders, wall shelves, etc. I love custom orders, so don't hesitate to let me know if you have an idea of something you'd like to have made. My turnaround time on most orders is 7-10 days, but most orders can be rushed ahead of others for an additional rush fee if you need it quickly. At times, I get many orders as well as prepping for several craft shows and markets, so sometimes my turnaround time is pushed to 2-3 weeks. When you place your order, I will let you know the time frame I will have it completed. This time frame is before shipping, so if your items is being shipped, the shipping time is on top of the turnaround time. My prices are not listed on this page due to the large variety of items I make, prices are determined on each individual order. If you send me info on what you would like to have made, as well as size, type (framed/unframed sign, pallet style, etc) I can then get you a quote. Also, I am not in the business of copying someone else's work. So, if you see a picture on Pinterest, Etsy, etc and send it to me to have it made, it will not look exactly like that picture. Someone, somewhere took time to design that and if I make it exactly, I am stealing their time and their work. That being said, if you show me a picture of something you like, I can design something similar, with a similar layout and fonts, and the colors are your choosing.
At this time I do not ask for payment or a deposit up front; I feel most people are decent and will not back out of an order. That being said, please respect my cost and time to make your item, and do not ignore me when I contact you for pickup. If you need to cancel your order, place let me know ASAP. Also, I do not run a storage unit; if I contact you that your order is complete and ready to be picked up, please... show more arrange to meet with me quickly to pick up your order. I do not have the space or the desire to store a ton of completed items while waiting to be picked up. I am available to meet most days, anytime during the day, so I'm pretty flexible with working around your hours. I feel like a week is plenty of time for us to arrange pickup. If you do not agree on a pickup time within a week, I will offer to ship the item to you, at your expense. If that is not acceptable to you, I will post it for sale at a discount. Once again, it's about respect, and please respect my time and costs to make an item you requested to agree to pick it up in a timely manner. Thank you so much! show more
