Hiya all. I'm also new to wellington and looking to get back into off-road riding, not done much since my teens. Can anyone give me a point towards the best mtb shops to check out? Prob looking for a hard tail - 27.5". Cheers

Hi Si, Here at Burkes Cycles New Zealand we have a huge range of bikes on the floor; Giant, Specialized, GT, Rocky Mountain and Cannondale to name a few and, of course, access to many more. 3 mechanics in our busy workshop every weekday and a vast array of parts and accessories to choose from. Pop on in or check out the webstore www.burkescycles.co.nz.

I recently bought a bike after getting sick using the same 'mistake' I bought 4 years prior (purchased on price). I used my local in the end ( https://www.facebook.com/127352493986429 Cycle Science) who came to the party on price for my Stumpy. Me, personally, I found https://www.facebook.com/ https://www.facebook.com/425656524127206 209595772437031 the staff at Burkes Cycles New Zealand, On Yer Bike Avantiplus, Mud Cycles, and (of course) Cycle Science, really helpful in listening to what I wanted to do and making sure I went in the right direction. I thought I wanted an HT after riding them all of my life and thinking fully's would sap my energy. And I though 650b was the way I wanted to go. But I went with the FSR 29er based on what I liked to ride and the feel of the bike. Of course you end up paying more, but I am glad and I can do so much more = having way more fun. All I'm saying is I liked the places who listened to me, and used their knowledge of local trails, style of bikes, and type of riding to point you in the best direction for your budget.

I should have posted it - sorry. But if you go the Burkes Cycles New Zealand website of FB page there is info about the Mt Vic day.
Where's the best place to get some bomb-proof commuter wheels for my 29er?
