I have a 7.5 month old baby and my husband is really struggling with fatherhood. We are going to the doctors to get a referral for him to talk to someone. His main struggle is comforting our son when he is upset and getting him to settle of a night. We are going through a very rough patch as our son wakes screaming several times a night. He really wants to be able to settle him but I have to do it in the end as my son becomes hysterical. This is not ideal for their relationship or me as I must have unbroken blocks of sleep due to health issues. We have a dream baby and he loves his daddy (lights up with a huge smile when he sees him) but my husband just needs help. I do what I can to support him but thought an outsider might be able to help a bit more. Has anyone gone through this and have any good places to go? Just want a general idea before going to the gp. Have looked into PANDA and Relationships Australia. Thank you for your help
