I'm looking for an unusual type of massage service and I have no idea where to start Hi, r/Nashville. I'm not living in the area, but I'm trying to find a massage therapist for my mom and I have no idea where to start looking. She has ALS, so she needs someone who 1) can do housecalls and 2) is comfortable massaging someone who's not able to get on a regular massage table or chair.
The American Massage Therapy Association says not all massage therapists will work with ALS patients, but it doesn't give any guidance on how I can find one that does. Is there a local organization I could call to get a list of therapists in the city who could do it? Is there a particular company that's more likely to have someone who fits the bill? I'm trying to help my parents out by finding this service, but I don't know where to begin.

In terms of house calls, zeel.com is a site where you can book in-home massages on demand. My wife was able to specify she needed prenatal massage when she used it. ALS is likely a much less common specialty, though.
Female Massage Therapist in PWC? (Standard disclaimer about understanding that not everyone considers PWC "Northern Virginia" but I think we're bluing up nicely)
I'm looking for recommendations for an "in home" female massage therapist that can work with muscle spasms in the back for my wife, who had spinal fusion surgery a few years ago. If "in home" isn't possible for this kind of therapy, then recommended therapy locations are also welcome.
Despite all the potential punchlines here, I really am looking for someone therapeutic, not pornographic.

I haven’t tried it yet, but maybe zeel.com would work. If you search around you can probably find a promo code. They advertise on some podcasts I listen too and have a promo code for the first use. I haven’t gone for many massages in my life, but they always ask if I want a man or woman.
I need ideas of local places to go for massage places that you have used or know of that's really good. thanks everyone. we use to go a place here in oak place but she closed so we need a new place to go. any ideas? happy holidays everyone and thank you in advanced. btw it can be anywhere in the local area.

I have used zeel.com. You sign up, select a masseuse online who comes to your house.
Is there anyone who comes to your house in the area that does massages and takes insurance? Or anyone in MV or Black Diamond who does and has later hours? I have an amazing friend/massage therapist but it's hard for me to get to her in business hours while kiddos are out of school this summer so wanted to see what my options are.
Seeking: recommendations for places that offer prenatal massages from trained and certified massage therapists.
Jackie G. replied:
Dude. Download the Zeel app. They'll send you a therapist within an hour (even at 9 pm!) and give you a massage in the comfort of your own home. No need to drive anywhere. You can just sink into your bed and nap right after the massage. They do prenatal too! I LIVE for Zeel. https://www.zeel.com
If anyone is in need of a professional massage, I highly recommend him for his professionalism and talent, who sincerely takes pride in his work.
