Day Care is offered Monday thru Friday 7a-7p
You must complete our enrollment process prior to your dogs first day of day care. To ensure the safety of all dogs and staff, we do not offer daycare for dogs that have not completed a temperament test prior to the request of service.
TRAINING
We offer one on one balanced obedience training. We specialize in socialization, leash reactivity, and real life obedience training.
GROOMING
The Dog Port offers full service grooming by appointment. Our groomer David is available on Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat. Prices vary depending on breed and coat condition. Pricing will be discussed during the consultation with our groomer. Appointments run approximately 2.5-3 hrs on the first appointment.
DOG FOOD
We carry Fromm dog food. Special orders can be made as well.

I would typically book 1.5 to 2 hours tops to fully groom a GSD. I'm assuming he's probably shedding, so there is a lot to deshed. I also know GSD's can be a lot to handle; I used to work above a facility that trainer police/drug/bomb sniffing dogs so I'd I was seeing them daily for a year. Ali's referring to "overheating" has happened mostly at big box chains that use box dyers - nicknamed in the industry as "puppy ovens". I do not use that method or drying. The only cage dryer I have is one that distributes cool air, and 99% of the time I don't need it.
