  I planned to take my auto transmission to A+ Transmission on Jones Rd out here on the NW side of Houston. Spoke to them and they seemed very reasonable and knowledgeable. Austin VeeDub (located in Austin TX) has a huge warehouse of engines and transmissions. That's always an option too..
