  Any open hair salons that can untangle matted, damaged hair? I'm wondering if anybody in the area knows of a hair salon or something that would be able to handle my hair. It's very thin, wavy, and tangles easily. I haven't had a haircut since before the pandemic, and frankly, I've been pretty depressed so my self-care has been lacking. Now the matting is so bad I can't stick a comb through my hair on one side. It's basically like felt. Online detangling advice has so far failed. I called my usual hair place (a beauty school) and described the problem, and they said they'd just cut the knot out. With the state of things, they'd probably wind up shaving half my head. If anyone knows of a place that can detangle matted, damaged hair- preferably without it costing an arm and a leg- I would appreciate it.
