Can anyone advise a winter swimming novice where in London (north or central) to buy a decent wetsuit / gloves / hat etc for Autumn/winter lido swimming? I could do with a shop that gives good advice! Thanks.

http://www.oceanleisure.co.uk/ are very helpful Rebecca, I think they do 2XU, Orca, Zone 3 and others. They're on the Embankment WC2. Decathlon also do a very well reviewed female suit, think they're in London too. Let me know how you get on.

I got good advice and sizing from Ocean Leisure. Be prepared for your wetsuit to feel quite tight & restrictive at first. A wise friend counselled me to wait five swims to break it in -- and sure enough, after that, the suit was comfortable and easy to swim in, with no chafing -- even during my not-fast Dart 10 k.

I found Ocean Leisure really helpful, too. Would heartily recommend

Anyone know of a shop in London where I can try wetsuits before buying? I live on the Isle of Wight, and there's nothing here, but I have a trip to London coming up. Thanks

Hi there-does anyone know of any shops in london that sell body glide anti-chafe? I've ordered some online but not sure it will arrive in time for the speedo marlow swim this weekend. Speedo covent garden already tried and no joy. Thanks! :-)
