Do I need a survey for a newbuild? Hi guys. Buying a newbuild and am weighing up whether or not it's worth getting a survey given that it's covered under a ten-year warranty.
The ground report had an advisory note of subsidence in the area and recommended a level-two Homebuyer report, which is a cool £500 roughly. When I spoke to a surveyor they suggested that I needed a full structural survey, which is obv much more expensive. My gut instinct is that they're trying to upsell me and being naughty.
What do you guys reckon? This is a very boring question so I'm sorry to clog up your day but I really don't have a clue what to do...

See if you can get a cheaper quote from these guys - it’s a comparison site for this. https://www.localsurveyorsdirect.co.uk/ I got a full survey for £550. Well worth the money, especially since this is probably the biggest purchase of your life. Why trust other people when they’re after your money? Easier to identify and fix problems now with less interruption (Or reduce price) than it is later on.
