Do I need a survey for a newbuild? Hi guys. Buying a newbuild and am weighing up whether or not it's worth getting a survey given that it's covered under a ten-year...

We didn’t get one when we bought our new build last year. Just the usual searches by surveyors. We did, however, get a professional snagging survey after about 18 months which was about £400. And a million percent worth it.

New build houses near us literally slid down the hill ! Don't save a few pounds now, it might cost thousands later on. And plus one on getting a snagging report undertaken, you can't trust build quality to be up to standard, you have to confirm.

Common advice I've heard: get a full survey for new builds, and any building older than 60 years.
I can have a lease option on a property, which has subsidence. The cost to get it fixed, lets say for this conversation, is £10k.
I'm told I don't need to have it...
...can anyone recommend a local surveyor? We have ever increasing cracks upstairs in our house and now where extension goes into part of the roof, the roof has started...
