  Any ideas on a good, old-fashion, mom & pop family restaurant that serves good food? Nothing fancy. Nothing with a bar. Just a place that serves some chicken soup with rolls & butter, or a chicken dinner, or other family meals. Ideas anyone? We used to go to Geneva Family Diner on occasion; and I know there's Pauls (but it's in Elgin).

  Anyone have thoughts on Geneva Diner? Looking for a decent place like that for breakfast. Thoughts on food? Prices? Etc. Also that one at 38 and 7th, used to be like Colonial, and Mel's, not sure what it is now.

  Weather permitting we have eaten outside at Nosh - seating is faster, less people and much quieter. It is a small place so if you hit prime time it is busy. Another good place is Ari's in North Aurora on Randall north of Oak Street. Great food - home made everything.
