  In search of inexpensive lawyer for easy divorce Hi all, I’m looking for recommendations for an attorney who won’t charge an arm and a leg for the easiest divorce case in the world. It’s an amicable split, we have no joint assets or children, we have no personal property that we’re dividing, nobody is contesting anything, and we’ve been separated for a couple of years now. We actually tried doing the divorce ourselves but it got thrown out and the court wouldn’t tell us why due to “not being able to provide legal advice”. The only real trick here is that I live here in B’ham and my wife lives in North Carolina, but I can’t imagine that would pose much of an issue. So basically all I need is recommendations for a competent attorney who will help us get it over with. I don’t know any attorneys here so I’m not sure where to start. Anyone have any good recommendations?

  Lee Borden is great for uncontested divorces. http://divorceinfo.com/ I think he charges $100 + filing fees if you have no kids.
