  Heading to Florida next week. Delivering supplies to Wildlife Rehab facilities for mainly small mammals, and volunteering my more than 20 years of wildlife rehab experience. Does anyone know of any wildlife organizations that may be in need of supplies and/or experience? I have enough supplies (formula, gloves, bedding, heating pads, syringes..) for 3 facilities, plus can help others with rehab, feeding, rescue, transport..etc.. Can be in NC, SC, GA, or FLA.   Does anyone know where we can take an injured young bird (probably a woodpecker) at this time of day? The Wildlife Center of Texas on Katy Rd and the TWRC Wildlife Center on Hammerly are both closed for the day. The bird is injured under his wing and in shock, but it does not seem immediately life threatening. We have it in a towel in a box. Thanks.

  URGENT RESIDENT REQUEST - Does anyone know of a wildlife rescue in the area? The blown transformer caused a baby squirrel to be badly burned.

  Sad news from Texas Wildlife Rescue Today: Your squirrel had severe burn injuries and was placed in our ICU. He was given pain medications and warm fluids. We stabilized him but despite our efforts the squirrel did succumb to its injuries. Even though we know many times it is just out of our hands it still saddens us because we wish we could save them all. Thank you for caring. It is a comfort to know that it passed in a calm quiet environment on supportive care rather than suffering out in elements. Thank you for being a friend to our wildlife.
