Affordable, High Quality Veterinary Clinic in Waterloo/Kitchener? We are looking for a good quality vet clinic in the KW region (preferably Waterloo). We have two cats. Would love to hear your positive/negative experiences with local vet clinics, as well as your recommendations. We really want a vet that is thorough, empathetic and affordable.
Also, if anyone knows of a vet that offers a student discount that would be awesome!
Thanks :)

I've been going to Mitchell Animal Hospital (http://mahonline.com/) for my 2 cats for nearly 2 years now and I've only had positive experiences. They always provide helpful information on the phone when I've called with questions. The vets always remember their names even after 6 months or so. And after I've gone in for help, the vet always calls to check in on how they are doing and if I have any more questions. Not sure about any student discounts however.

I used to take my cat to Mitchell Animal Hospital when I lived near them. We switched to Beechmount Animal Hospital after her dog and my cat had to be unexpectedly put to sleep within a few months of each other, and then we got new kittens and eventually another dog. The switch was mainly for walkability for me since I do not drive.
Both places are friendly, helpful, top-notch vets that explain everything to you, including your options when things are critical. In terms of cost, Beechmount seems a little less expensive than Mitchell, but few pet medical expenses are cheap. Mitchell were very understanding when I had to make the rather unexpected decision about my cat, saying I could go for extra testing if I wished but also saying they did not feel it would make any difference.
We're looking for a recommendation for a local vet and puppy training program. If anyone has any referrals we would really appreciate it! Our puppy is coming home in a month! :)

We've had very good luck with Mitchell Animal Hospital. Dr. Gerald Gyorffy has been very thorough and caring with our greyhound Heidi. We were at a vet clinic closer to Eastbridge, but returned to Mitchell because the rates were much lower and care was excellent. We especially noticed this because of the vet blend food our dog requires. http://mahonline.com/
I'm extremely happy with [Mitchell Animal Hospital](http://www.mahonline.com). Dr. Matylda Janutka was my go-to vet, but she's currently on maternity leave. They also offer rehabilitation services (laser, hydrotherapy, and physical therapy), which I've started with my dog who recently had knee surgery.
