  Check whether your friend is eligible for Legal Aid, then it will be free. Also, if you do qualify, you may be better off with a Legal Aid lawyer than with a paid-for lawyer, as they are required by law to prove that they are keeping up their knowledge of immigration law. http://www.asylumaid.org.uk/how-to-find-other-legal-representation/
