LONG POST. PLEASE HELP!
I found a kitten (maybe 8 weeks old) in my yard. It can't run very well it has obvious injuries to it's back legs. (It looks like its been shot with a BB gun) He/she is completely covered in fleas & bugs. I don't have the heart to walk away so I followed it until it stopped trying to run away. Obviously he/she is very afraid and aggressive. (Tried to lunge at me a couple times) I got a crate we use for transporting our other cats, opened it and he/she walked right in! I was able to get some food and water in the crate and he/she is eating and drinking. Now, my question is where can I take him/her? I thought I heard the humane society stopped taking animals. Is that correct? Is there anywhere local that will get this kitten the help it deserves? Then it could be put up for adoption, right? Any info would be appreciated!
ALSO, I'M NOT JUST GIVING THIS KITTEN TO SOMEONE SO DON'T BOTHER ASKING. it's feral and it needs help. I unfortunately, cannot keep him/her (that's how we got our calico
