  Hey all! Does anyone know where to get a puppy around here? NOT a $1,000 "designer breed" (aka mutt lol). I've called 3 shelters and a few rescues, and none seem to have puppies (why is that??). Looking for a puppy that will be medium to large when grown. Preferably somewhere that has more than one to choose from, so we can see their personality (way more important than looks hahaha). Unfortunately, no pit bull or German Shepherd mixes :( Thanks for any and all leads!!

My hubby and I can't spend a fortune on a dog so we are ok with him not being a pure bread. I'm not against shelters but it is very hard to find those particular breeds. I brought him into my backyard greenhouse to be warm and dry. Is there a vet or injured animal service that will pick him up? Also have thyroid meds, gabapentin, flea/tick monthly preventative along with heartworm preventative. Any ideas where I can take this?
