  Hi Jessica, I don't have any local references so not sure if this will be helpful.... But, after living overseas for 9+ years and my life getting more complicated (I'm also married to a German, have a son, investments, etc), I finally have hired a outside company www.taxesforexpats.com to help me. It's not cheap, but also not unreasonable and it's quite simple that you can organize everything online/via email. U.S. Taxes can often be complicated and i didn't want to deal with it anymore... Also, as I pay quite a bit of taxes here and so not only do I not pay US taxes, I'm able to carry forward quite a bit that *maybe* someday I'll get a benefit from.

I've NEVER filed taxes while I was in Korea, since my parents tax account said I didn't need to since I make less than a certain amount of money. (D@mn liar) Anyone know of a good public tax accountant that speaks English, in Gwangju or do I need to go up to Seoul?
