If you like Italian, you must go to Filomena! Make a reservation. http://filomena.com/ Absolutely the BEST Italian ever and we've been lots of places. The décor is beautiful. If around Christmas or Easter, an absolute must just to enjoy the decorations! You'll see the Italian ladies in the window making homemade pastas as you go down the stairs into the restaurant where you will see all of the homemade desserts in a case. Highly recommend to anyone. At the end of you meal, you will be brought a carafe of Sambuka and Amaretto with a shot glass of coffee beans and told the Italian story & then enjoy a toast on the house! Located in Georgetown on Wisconsin (just down from intersection of M Street (almost to water) across from Georgetown Park Shopping where you can park in the garage.
DC friends or people who visit frequently: can you recommend a restaurant to eat at next Saturday evening?

I worked here as a hostess while I was in college (American University). The food is amazing, especially the pasta with the creamy lobster sauce. O.M.G. The focaccia bread is to die for as well. http://www.filomena.com/
