I dislike using this page as anything but a tool to communicate weather or general interest items and have rewarding conversations between us. That said, I'm a bit stumped and I thought some crowd sourcing could help.
I have a Grandfather's clock. It's not an heirloom, just an early 2000s era Howard Miller. About a year ago, one of the three weights no longer had any resistance: it just drops to the floor of the case. It's probably a tension spring or something similar inside the face that's responsible. Needless to say, the clock can't regulate time with a runaway weight! :)
Can anyone recommend good clock repair in southern NH: anywhere around Manchester, Salem, Nashua, Hampton or even northern MA? I don't think this will take a fortune to fix but if someone needs to drive over a hundred miles to get here, it could get pricey.
Thank you. Back to weather on the next post! :)
