  Anyone know of a pediatrician in the area that has afterwork and/or weekend appts. Essentially, the current on I have, my daughter has ADHD medication prescribed, and she needs to have routined check ups for it. However the doctors office has hours for that particular type of appt. at the most inconvenient times (mid morning or mid afternoon) smack in the middle of the work day.

  Seeking pediatrician recommendations.... When we moved here we decided on Growing Child because everyone raved about a particular doctor and their experiences there. Fast forward through three visits and we have yet to see the doctor we hoped for (granted one of the three visits was a Saturday, so that one is understandable), have had billing issues resulting in many phone calls with their office and Blue Cross because the data entry at the office had my son as a female and my husband's (policyholder) name spelled wrong, and everytime I call I listen to a loop recording about. 5-8 minute hold time before being dumped in a robotic call center. What I'm looking for is a small one doctor practice where I can build a relationship with someone who knows my kids, their histories, their allergies, etc. When I call, I'd like a human being to be the first point of contact. Preferably one I can build a relationship with. Our ped in Florida had a total staff of 6... One doctor.... I am looking for human connection and continuity of care.   Does anyone Recommend a great pediatrician?? I HATEEEE the growing child in Wake Forest. Just one thing after another lately and 3 months still my daughter is sick.. Not only is it not fair to her but it's costing me a lot of money. With no insurance I pay cash, and then have to keep her out of daycare, which I still have to pay whether she's there or not and then I miss work. No one there seems to know what they're doing and I recently waited over 2 hours to be seen and when I asked what was going on they said the dr on duty was slow but efficient so I said ok how much longer and they said another 45 about till I'm next... I've never seen the same dr twice.. Everyone tells me something different.. And on top of it all, they're rude and the place looks like a dump! Why is it so hard to find a GOOD dr for our kids now a days?? Please help! She's only 2 1/2

  Raleigh Pediatrics! A little bit further but worth the drive. We see Parkerson for all our wellness appointments + scheduled appointments, but have also worked with Hewitt, Koscielniak, Helms, Foster and Berstein for sick appointments over the years and have been pleased with all. http://www.raleighpediatrics.com/

  First, you need to decide if you want a smaller practice with a more personal feeling, or a larger staff with more availability and flexibility, but less of a personal touch. We choose larger. We can always be seen if our daughter gets sick or hurt. There are advice nurses and staff on call at all hours. But, we have seen several doctors over the years. We go to Raleigh Pediatric Associates off of Falls of Neuse. We love it. If you want to be able to always see the same doctor, then you will want a smaller practice. But remember they may not be as flexible. Good luck!
