  Hi. I am hoping to get advice/incite on a serious issue I'm having w/ my 14 mth old GSD... Male.. My family feels heartbroken b/c Brody is part of it but if we can't fix this, we can't keep him... Yesterday, he acted like he didn't recognize my 4 yr old son n was gonna attack him! This is a scary situation.. My sons sick n sounds congested, but still? I had a mobile vet come to run every test possible n c if it's something medical. I'm also getting him neutered n will have all results tom. The issue he's always had even when I brought him home is he's terrified of vehicles, n just recently won't even go 4 walks, he will only leave the house through 1 door n when he gets to where his lead is, he sits firmly n won't go any further in any direction. So I've had a difficult time socializing him once he was too powerful to get in the car n put a lead out that goes pretty far for him to run n play fetch n that's his exercise. I would love 2 go 2 a behavioral specialist but I can't afford that especially after vet bills. We show him so much love n him n my son were best friends, now they can't be in the same room, and it's so upsetting. I don't know if this is fixable, n I can't risk my son getting attacked. Any information/advice, suggestions, recommendations of inexpensive professionals will be appreciated... Both of my kids don't want him to go to a new home but this is too risky to mess around

  Hey Pennsylvania and pet training peeps... I am looking for a referral for a pet dog trainer in the Scranton, PA area (Swiftwater, PA but anywhere in the area is fine). This is for a 6 month old Viszla and the owners. They are looking for a positive puppy obedience & manners class - they tried the local PetSmart and were told to "dominate" their puppy along with all sorts of other ridiculous, insulting things. The owners were smart enough to walk away from that crap :) Any suggestions that I can pass along to them?
