  There's a place on a side road I think it's called Log Cabin. It's wonderful. I demanded my bf take me to The Pancake Pantry and it was big mistake. Overpriced blah food and was cash only.

  I have lived in Sevier County my entire life; grew up in Gatlinburg, and I have never eaten at the Pancake Pantry. However, I love the Donut Friar ... no other place like it!

  the peddler, hands down. Locally owned, been around 40+years. They hand cut steaks at your table. Always win excellence awards, etc. We always prefer local to a chain when on vacation. Pancake Pantry is great. There is always a line, but it moves quickly. Crystelle Creek and Best Italian Restaurant are great as well.
