About us
Fairchild's Tea Rooms opened in Diss 19/07/14. The brainchild of Justine Staines & Nicholas Easton (Although Nicholas went his own way in November 2014) Fairchild's takes its visitors back to the beginning of the last century, where the emphasis was on service and afternoon tea was a break to be savoured. With over 50 different loose leaf teas and many different coffee varieties, Fairchild's visitors are certainly not short of choice. Reminiscent of the 1920's, the waitresses wear little pinnies and hats akin to the old Lyons "nippies" and the waiters are always dressed smartly, usually sporting a tie. In a very busy, stressful world that always seems to rush by so fast, Fairchild's is a place where time seems to stand still. It is no wonder that after only 2 months of opening, Fairchild's won the "Cafe of the Year 2014" as voted for by the readers of the Diss Express newspaper. Fairchild's now offers light breakfasts, perfect for business breakfast meetings, with platters coming to our menu in the summer months and hot food in the cooler months. We hold tea tasting events monthly and Senior Specials on Tuesdays. If you have already visited our establishment, then please leave a review of your visit in our reviews section and we look forward to welcoming you back. If you've not yet had the pleasure, then please book your table soon and we look forward to welcoming and serving you in the near future.
