With its glass atrium, high ceilings and white walls, Baltic has a light, open, spacious feel. The warm, neutral colours and pale wooden beams give the place a natural, organic feel. At this Waterloo restaurant Jan Woroniecki of Wodka and Chez Kristof fame offers a selection of hearty Eastern European dishes. Give your gullet an an Eastern bloc party with dishes like lamb goulash, haunch of venison with honey roasted pears and sour cherries and steamed mussels with bacon and beer. The bar boasts over 70 different vodkas as well as wine and bar food. The other great draw is the jazz – on Sunday nights Baltic plays host to established and up coming artists.
