The original Nama Sushi Bar opened July of 2004 in the heart of Downtown Knoxville's 100 block of Gay Street. Our popularity led to a second location in Bearden in 2008. In 2011 the original downtown location doubled in size, transitioning into a more modern and sophisticated atmosphere, by moving to its new location at 506 S. Gay Street.
Most recently, Nama has expanded across the state, developing a third location in Nashville, TN. Watch for details of the grand opening for our location at the corner of Elliston Place and 23rd Avenue North in Nashville, TN near Vanderbilt University.
Nama has consistently been voted number one for sushi in the Knoxville area, but our menu features more than just sushi. Whether you are looking to test the waters with your first sushi experience, looking for a romantic dinner on date night, or headed out for a night with friends or family, Nama is the perfect choice.
Best sushi place? Doesn't have to be in Mt. Juliet!

Samurai Sushi is great if you want nigiri. They have really fresh classic rolls. But if you want amazing new flavors, in rolls of tempura or raw, or an AMAZING on-point chef platter? https://www.facebook.com/284269911770465 Nama Sushi Nashville-Elliston Place. Every time. It's the best
