  Psychiatrists doing online or phone consultations? Hi all, I posted this a few months ago and received some great recommendations: I’m moving to Houston this spring and was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a psychiatrist. I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD and taking medication for several years, and I would like to find a new psychiatrist in the Houston area. I’ll be living in Midtown so the closer the better, but I’m happy to travel to someone great. Any recommendations are appreciated! Thank you. I made an appointment with someone who seems lovely. However, she is not doing online consultations, and I’m living with my significant other who is severely immunocompromised. I just can’t risk his health by interacting with a doctor and assistants who have been seeing multiple patients a day. Does anyone know of a psychiatrist doing online consultations through Skype or whatever? I really appreciate any assistance. Thank you!

  Lone star circle of care is a really great facility for not only general medicine but behavioral health. Currently all their appointments are online though google team. You should look into them. Their number for FAQ and for new patient and general appointment planning is 877-800-5722.

My husband worked for a month and physically could no longer work but that gave us and automatic denial for medicaid. One month of work over a year and a half.   Per a friend of mine...I went to Dr Austin Nunez at Georgetown community clinic, they accept those insurances and base off income.. But you can also get more info, locations, etc. at http://www.lscctx.org

  Attention: I have a friend who is in great need to see a doctor, went to the hospital & got a referral to the People's Community Clinic and was told that they are only accepting new patients between the ages of 11-19, does anyone know of any other clinics or places to get medical attention other than the MAP clinics? (MAP clinics take 2-3 months to get an appointment + she needs to be seen asap). Thanx!!!

  Lone star circle of care has sliding scale, as does communicare. not sure if you have to live in certain counties or not tho...

  I go to Lone Star Circle of Care, but Peter is right. Tell her to go to the emergency room which by law has to accept her. It is terrible that some people have to use the emergency room like that, but often it is the only alternative.
