  Does anyone know of a place that offers food for families in need?? Like RIGHT NOW?A really dear friend of mine left an abusive relationship yesterday with whatever could fit in the car with the children. I used all the extra money i could spare to get them a hotel room for a few weeks til she gets on her feet but the food situation isn't so good. Her ex does NOT know where she is so money is hard.... pleeease no bashing! I'm just trying to help her and the kids because it wasn't easy leaving.....

  Call 615-444-8955. It is Home Safe, and they have a 24 help line for abused women and children in crisis and can hopefully get you in touch with some resources. If they can't do anything specifically tonight, they definitely can Monday. They have clothing, counseling and food donated sometimes and so much more.

  Does anybody know of any organization that helps battered women? I have been contacted by an individual that I must keep her identity confidential in fear that her ex might track her down. She does have a place to stay however all she and her young son has is beds and very little clothing and they are in need of clothes and household items. If you know of any organization that helps or have any items to donate please let me know. Thanks in adavance
