The name Half & Half Bakery has very special meaning to me. I, myself suffer from being lactose intolerant, which makes finding tasty treats that are lactose free very difficult. Along with me, my son and my cousin’s son together are allergic to 4 of the 7 common food allergens. This makes family birthday parties very complicated. I wanted to create a bakery that makes delicious cakes that everyone can enjoy by using whole foods and nothing processed. Half of my family is able to enjoy the full leaded flavor while the other half is unable to. Thus in my name, half of my kitchen is dedicated to bake delicious cakes, and the other half will create allergen free. Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too?
