  If you've never tried Hank Flemings (www.hankgun.com) in S. Austin, you might want to give it a try. They are good folk. Can get a little crusty with stupid questions - but if you walk in with an open mind and honest questions they're usually happy to spend time working with you to figure out what you want done and how you want it done. Highly recommended. I've had a number of high dollar weapons worked on by them and they also built/fitted an all custom 1911 for me which I'm very happy with.
