  Resources for Adult ADHD diagnosis Hi. My daughter is a student at UNC-A and we think she’s been experiencing ADD symptoms for a few years. It is causing her to really struggle in school and she’s trying her best to be successful. I’m a health professional but can’t diagnose her myself. I know it is sometimes hard to get professionals to listen when a 20 year old describes these symptoms. It’s usually chalked up to depression or just normal 20 year old stress. But she’s really struggling with focus and forming clear thoughts academically. She’s successful in every other aspect of her life. Does anyone have a recommendation for a psychiatrist who will listen to her and not be dismissive of these symptoms in a college student? Thanks! Edit: She’s going to student health tomorrow and they refer out. So I was curious if anyone had someone to recommend in Asheville. assuming we get some external names from student health to contact?
