Cool, nobody asked. The question asked was for a psychologist, and personally I'm tired of Christians chiming in with their absurd beliefs. You can't pray away medical problems, sexuality, or anything for that matter. If it makes you feel good, cool. But The Book of Mathew clearly instructs Christians to pray in private (not on FB).

Has she tried on campus resources? They offer counseling and I'm sure they could assist or at least point her in the right direction.
Mateyoo replied:
Dr. Mulchay at [Asheville Testing](https://www.ashevilletesting.com/). I got an evaluation from him which I then brought to student health to get treated for ADD rather than depression/anxiety.
adventurelillypad replied:
at the UNCA clinic they were extremely quick to put me on add medication. it really came out of nowhere, I wasn't diagnosed with add, they just offered the medication because I had a problem with overeating. it was pretty off putting how they just seem to throw those prescriptions around based on my and my friends' experiences.

I went through the same thing in college and had my assessment done at [Appstates Psychology Clinic](https://psychclinic.appstate.edu/assessment-services). If you dont mind the short drive it was a very affordable option

Dr. Narron's office won't take him, for some reason, and Daniel Johnson doesn't take his insurance. I'll try Willow Wellness. THanks everyone for your help!

Looking for a couple names of superb adult psychiatrists in Asheville that are taking referrals, and at least 3 names for a great ADHD therapist coach person.
Sandy N. replied:
Rudy Rodriguez is an excellent ADHD Coach. adhdcenterforsuccess
Eric B. replied:
At the risk of sounding redundant, Rudy Rodriguez does work exclusively with ADHD. I have talked to him personally and was very impressed. I'm an addiction specialist, but see addiction as one form ADHD and most recovering people are on the ADHD spectrum. I have had good success and feel competent in working with this population. In regard to Adult psychiatrists who work with ADHD, I work with Dr. Greg Narron who is wonderful, although difficult to get an appt. with., Joel Puryer, a PA, who has recently come into the practice of Dr. Narron, is equally wonderful and competent with ADHD. Other psychiatrists in town who I have worked with who are excellent with both ADHD and Addiction are Tony Bird and Tony Weisenberger. Best.
