  Hi everyone, We didn't lose our home but we did evacuate at one point and we took our pets with us. My cat was in a crate. For the past few weeks she has been licking herself more than normal and now she is licking herself raw. I believe it is from stress from being in a crate (we've never put her in a crate before-she rides in the car like a champ). Are there any vets offices offering low priced or sliding scale services? We don't need advice on home remedies. She needs to go to a vet asap but due to having lost some work and incurred some extra expenses we don't really have the funds right now. Any places to call would be appreciated.

  I can’t recommend Laguna Vet hospital highly enough. They are on Hwy 12, closed today, 707-528-1448, tell them I sent you. If it’s more urgent try Petcare, wonderful but can be on expensive side if you don’t first explain that your funds are limited, they will definitely work with you. Good luck.
