About us
Rebecca Ogge practises in Family Law and Sports Law.
Her highest priority is her clients and achieving the best outcome for them.
After completing her schooling on the Gold Coast, Rebecca relocated to Melbourne to study a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Medical Sciences) at University of Melbourne. She then completed her Bachelor of Laws and gained invaluable experience in Melbourne in a variety of areas of general law.
Since returning to the Gold Coast, Rebecca has focused on Family Law and has continued to enjoy assisting clients to find practical and cost effective legal solutions, whether it be by negotiation and mediation or Court proceedings.
Rebecca is happy to speak to clients over the telephone to discuss their issues. She then provides initial advice and options for each client at an appointment in the office. She is happy to assist with the negotiation phase to reach an agreement whether it is a co-habitation/pre-nuptial agreement or an agreement after separation. She also assists clients to finalise the agreement once it is reached by way of a Consent Order Application in the Court or a Financial Agreement.
She regularly appears in the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court of Australia assisting clients with their parenting arrangements and property divisions. She also appears in the Magistrates’ Court in domestic violence matters.
While Rebecca seeks assistance from the Courts when necessary, she is a strong advocate for attempting to resolve issues without the Court’s involvement including by way of Collaborative Law. She is a member of the Gold Coast Collaborative Practice Group.
Rebecca is a keen sports fan in particular netball, cricket, all football codes and golf. She is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Sports Law Association and the Australian Women’s Sport and Recreation Association. She represented Queensland in netball and was captain of the Queensland Schoolgirls team. She has coached netball at State League and... show more representative level in Queensland and Victoria, received a netball scholarship at University of Melbourne and enjoyed a position as Director of Netball/Head Coach at a private girls’ school in Melbourne. She continues to combine her love of sport with the law by assisting professional and amateur athletes realise their dream with sponsorship and employment contracts in addition to assisting national and state sports organisations, professional and local sporting clubs, government sport and recreation departments and agencies with contracts, sponsorship, policy and governance. She is currently completing a Master of Laws with the University of Melbourne Sports Law program.
She is also a member of the Queensland Law Society, admitted to the Supreme Courts of Queensland and Victoria and the High Court and Federal Courts of Australia.

She recognises that separation is emotionally difficult and in most cases, a financial strain. We try to help you to resolve your issues as quickly and as cost effectively as possible.
Rebecca Ogge understands that a family and in particular children, is a most important part in one’s life. We adopt a collaborative approach by attempting to resolve disputes and manage issues by negotiation and mediation. However, we also recognise that co-operation between the parties is required to settle a matter and when the parties cannot resolve the issues by agreement, Court intervention may be necessary. We have the skills and experience to seek assistance from the Family Law Courts on an urgent basis, if required, and we appear in the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court on a regular basis.
We offer to you a meeting with our experienced family lawyer during which we shall provide to you general preliminary advice which aims to guide you through the steps of resolving your matter with advice and options about your specific circumstances. You will leave the initial meeting with a clear pathway about how to resolve your issues and the costs involved.
