I dont know any solicitors for this but having gone through this and other issues... PLEASE Check everything the Solicitor Does!! Double check it.. They can make ALOT of mistakes and once its handed into Court or your Ex you cant take it back, if it snot what you wanted.. I have come across a few different Solicitors regarding Various family and Violence matters and they have all put in their own agenda in the paperwork and mixed details with other clients, and You have to be ontop of them all the time. Good luck.

Often courts will send you back to mediation, they can refuse all they like, but may not be able to "go straight to court" especially considering the timeframe lapsed, they have to get "special permission" to do anything. http://www.familycourt.gov.au/wps/wcm/connect/fcoaweb/family-law-matters/property-and-finance/property-and-money-after-separation/property-and-finances-after-separation

Robina Community Legal Centre each Thursday night will be able to provide assistance in the first instance. There are some fantastic family lawyers there every week to give advice. If there is property settlement involved a solicitor may be prepared to defer payment of their fees until the settlement of the matter but it depends on all of the circumstances. Happy to discuss this further with you if you wanted to call my office on 55260157. I am a Partner at Marino Law and an Accredited Family Law Specialist www.marinolaw.com.au

Hi anonymous happy to assist with advice and/or appearing in court with you for this. We can discuss a fixed fee for you also. Happy if you want to chat you can call me at the office. www.marinolaw.com.au

Hi, here is some information which may assist you. You can contact a community legal centre to get assistance with the documentation. If you are female, https://www.facebook.com/55425581514 Women's Legal Service Queensland can assist you. They have an advice line and can also email you information. On the Gold Coast there is the Gold Coast Community Legal Service (http://www.advicebureau.org.au/domestic-violence-self-help-and-information.html) who have walk-in advice sessions (not gender specific). The Southport Magistrates Court now has a specialist Domestic and Family Violence Court (http://www.courts.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0011/453485/cip-fs-dv-specialist-court.pdf). One of the Magistrates spoke at the White Ribbon Day Breakfast this morning. I am sure you will find that the Court, and the support workers available to you at the Court, will be of great assistance and you may not need legal representation. However, have you approached the Police to ask them to apply for the variation (if they do, they represent you)? Another option for you is that Women's Legal Service have a duty lawyer service at Holland Park Court on Wednesdays. You can file your application anywhere in Queensland so you could get assistance from them at Court on the day. I hope this assists you

Chris Leary. I'm a financial planner & Chris does all my clients estate planning wills after the financial ramifications have been worked out. He's very reasonable. I'd be happy to have a chat with you too as the way it's done can make a difference from a financial perspective - taxation of beneficiaries, protection of assets & so on. There's far more to it than you'd realise, which is why it's important to do it right. Glad to see you're thinking of getting a solicitor to draw it up as a very high percentage of DIY wills end up in probate due to technicalities & errors.
