Tanana Valley Clinic & TVC 1st Care offer the highest possible standard of medical and surgical care in the Interior, serving the Fairbanks area for more than half a century. Owned by the people of Fairbanks through the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation, we are operated by Foundation Health Partners.
Tanana Valley Clinic providers serve all patients with the highest level of comprehensive care. We provide that care under one roof and we accept Medicare, Medicaid/Denali Kid Care, TRICARE, and private insurance. TVC is located on the corner of 10th and Noble street in downtown Fairbanks.
Our 1st Care Clinic provides immediate care for minor injuries and illnesses. Walk-in health care is available seven days a week 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 1st Care is located on the corner of 11th and Noble street in downtown Fairbanks.
TVC was Founded in 1959 by Dr. Lawrence Dunlap and Dr. James Lundquist in a log cabin on the north side of the Chena River. Today, the clinic is home to over 50 providers in 15 primary and specialty care departments.
