  Last-minute plea to the amazing people of Gardner: I am a first grade teacher in town and are looking for any small pumpkins for our first graders again this year. I was hoping to surprise our students with a make shift pumpkin patch on our playground for our culminating pumpkin life cycle unit and fall Festival. If anyone has any leftover pie-sized pumpkins, or smaller, I have about 75 first graders that would love an on-site “field trip” of sorts where they would be able to pick their own pumpkin to take home tomorrow.
